For more than 14 years, Travel Editions has been offering an eclectic choice of touring holidays to Guardian and Observer readers, seeking out lesser-travelled, more unusual destinations to inspire the ‘traveller’ inside, rather than the tourist. A fore-runner in escorted tours to Europe, Travel Editions’ France by rail tours use Eurostar and local connections to journey deeper into Europe. The success of this range of tours has allowed them to expand their portfolio to include Italy and the Netherlands by rail, as well as special interest tours in the UK and across Europe and longer haul destinations such as the Aeolian Islands, the Baltic states and even farther afield to India and Cuba. Set up in 1994 by John Dryden and Ed Coventry, Travel Editions, as a successful tour operator, has been and still is being passionately grown, whose philosophy is ‘to offer the benefits of group travel but to treat every customer as an individual’. |
